Elisabeth Werner is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at Case Western Reserve University, where her research focuses on convex geometry, analysis, probability, and applications of the above to approximation theory, mathematical physics, and quantum information theory. Werner joined the IMA as associate director in August 2014.
As associate director, Werner oversees the day-to-day operation of the IMA, with an emphasis on the current year’s thematic program. She works with the workshop organizers to produce the schedules and with visitors to schedule other activities. She is responsible for the IMA newsletters, updates, email announcements, and annual reporting and also handles the many online registrations.
