The microenvironment of pancreatic cancer (PDA) presents multiple barriers that enhance tumor immune evasion. Multiple features and pathways prevalent in PDA promote a tumor immune landscape that favors tumor progression. The effect of therapeutically targeting these microenvironmental pathways on the immune landscape of PDA and on tumor cell phenotype will be discussed.
