Visual Analytics of Dynamic Web and Social Networks

The growth of the Web and social media allows us to observe real world events almost in real time. We are building a system for analyzing the societal behavior based on Web archives. Our Web archive consists of 20 billion URLs crawled for 11 years together with blog and microblog datasets. In this talk, I will show some case studies based on visual analytics of dynamic networks, including the information diffusion in microblogs under the 3.11 earthquake, and the structure of search engine spams.
