Hybrid Monte Carlo methods

Hybrid Monte Carlo, introduced in quantum chromodynamics, is a
rigorous
sampling method that eliminates the bias due to time step
discretization
of molecular dynamics (MD). I will discuss the method, give
some example
of its application, and show some recent improvements to its
efficiency,
particularly by discussing the Shadow Hybrid Monte Carlo
method.
