Classical physics-based models for agent-based systems have been proposed. A preferable approach is to start by defining the internal dynamics of agent-based systems and to create the models based on these dynamics. Whatever the source of the models, they should eventually be justified on the basis of the internal dynamics of agent-based systems. Agent-based systems are needed for sensorwebs, information mining, multi-robot swarming and many other Army/DoD applications.
