A GOY Model for the Navier Stokes Equations with Nonlinear Viscosity

We discuss a modified Navier Stokes equation that arises in turbulence modeling and in modeling the motion of visco-elastic fluids. We present a shell cascade model for the full PDE and show that for this GOY type model the Hausdorff dimension of the singular set is bounded by a parameter that depends on the order of the nonlinear viscosity.
