The term Brain Washing was first used in describing certain practices carried out by Chinese authorities.

An excellent starting place in gaining an understanding of the power of brain-washing is the eye-opening book of E. Hunter listed below. An eye-opener for myself, but hardly representative of the book, appears on pgs. 18-19 where the author works with a young chinese man in overcoming his belief that it is wrong to eat foreign food.
