Homework:



The homework will be assigned every week. Your TA will give direc-tions on the dates that the problems are due.
The homework will be graded on a coarse scale (0,1,2,3) points.


Quiz:



There will be a weekly quiz of 15-20 minutes every Thursday. The best 8 will be counted in the final grade.
The first quiz is in the week Sep 14-18. (No quiz during the Thanksgiving week.)





Exam:



There will be 3 midterm tests of 50 minutes. The lowest of the 3 scores will be dropped.
Exam will be given at the discussion section on the following Thursdays,
10/08/2009, 11/05/2009, 12/03/2009.





Final Grade:



Homwork(5%)+Quiz(5%)+HourExam(40%)+Final Exam(50%).





Class Policy:



-Lecture and discussion section attendance is strongly recommended.
-Group study and discussion are encouraged, however, the home-work must be completed independently.
-You are also strongly suggested to work on as many exercises as possible.
-No makeup quiz or exam is allowed for missing it with no reason. Please go through carefully the class
  schedule and mark all the important dates for EXAM and QUIZ in your calender to avoid any conflict.
-No calculator and formula sheet are allowed in all exams and quizzes.
-Please contact your lecturer or TA for help, or go for any resources from which you can have help.
  But DON'T wait before it is too late.
