Computer Labs: The lab portion of this course is designed to
teach you how to use computer algebra system Maple to solve problems that are too difficult
to solve by hand. Most of the first half of the semester is designed to
get used to the Maple syntax. The second half will concentrate more on the
use of Maple in doing mathematics.
Recitations: You are supposed to try to solve the suggested homework
problems for every section covered in lectures. The recitations are designed
for questions concerning the homework or any other aspect of the theory.
Make-up Policy:
According to University rules you must inform
your TA within 48 hours of a missed quiz in order to have a chance of
making it up. If you miss a Maple lab deadline, you may turn it in
within 10 days late if you have an
officially excused absence.
Failure to observe the appropriate late deadline will result in a zero
for that lab assignment.
