Here are the MACS348 second midterm solutions.

To approximate a boxcar, download script fser.m open Matlab in the directory where you have put the script. Type fser at the prompt, it will ask you for the amplitude (k in class) of the boxcar and the number of terms you wish to add in the series, then plot the result.
