  • I have been involved in secondary and collegiate education in the United States and South Africa from 1990-Present.
  • I have taught an array of students including minorities both in the United States and South Africa and have been involved in student abroad programs. See my list of students (undergraduate, graduate) .

  • Working with minorities, student abroad programs (Kenya, China, South Korea, Namibia, Israel, Brazil, Belgium).
  • Mathematics, Statistics, Physics and Computer Science secondary education: Advanced/ non advanced placement (6th-12 grade).
  • REU (Research for undergraduates), science, mathematics (K9-12, STEM), Olympiads, SAT and AP coaching. Technology: Online HW, Blackboard, My Math Lab, Curriculum maps, Winplot, Excell, Matlab, Mathematica, Maple. Advantages and Disadvantages of technology in teaching of mathematics, computer science, statistics and physics, Core Curriculum Development.
  • Collegiate Education.
  • Combining my research, particularly interdisciplinary work to REU and Research projects (Concept-Technique). These involve a wide range of secondary school and college topics.
  • Math clubs and mathematical contests.
  • Exceptional Student Programs.

Two exciting new current projects involve working with colleagues at Duke on Interdisciplinary Mathematics (technique versus concept) and also with the North Carlolina State Summer program for exceptional students.
