	Relatively recent events in Japan and the US, coupled with intelligence report, indicate that attempts to produce acts of aggression that cause human casualties on a massive scale are clear and present danger. One of the possible weapons of mass destruction is biological.
	Handling effectively a massive bioattack generates operational and logistical challenges.
	Many of the problems that are associated with these challenges lend themselves naturally to OR methods. I’ll try to review some of these problems and demonstrate a specific modeling effort that took place recently in Israel.
