Inverse Problem in Refractive Index Optical Tomography
In this talk, we will give an overview of the basics of diffusion optical
tomography and how to formulate the inverse problem. We will then discuss
a typical computational framework to solve the forward and the inverse
problem. In particular, we will discuss iteratively regularized
Gauss-Newton method for the nonlinear inversion method. We will then try
to relate how various aspects of this nonlinear ill-posed problem may be
analyzed in the context of various ideas floating around at IMA.
