Abstract:
Numerical Methods for Radiative Heat Transfer Equations in Diffusive
Regimes

The talk will give an outline of different methods to treat
radiative heat transfer equations in diffusive regimes. Different
ways of proceeding like asymptotic preserving methods for the
kinetic equation, domain decomposition methods for kinetic and
diffusive equation and the development of improved diffusion
approximations are considered. Applications to glass manufacturing
problems will be discussed showing a typical example.
