Information for IMA Volume Editors

Visit http://www.ima.umn.edu/organizing/volume.html for instructions on editing an IMA Volume.

On or before all the submissions to your proceedings have been refereed and accepted the staff will require you to send an e-mail to pubs@ima.umn.edu the following front matter documents for the book:

  1. Preface - there is no page limit.

  2. Promotional Piece - Must be between 175-200 words. The text appears in the back cover of the book. Springer-Verlag also uses a condensed version of the promotional text to generate sales of the books. IMA on the other hand, include this information in the IMA Update Series, published quarterly under the section "List of Current IMA Volumes."

  3. AMS MSC2000 Subject Classification Codes

If you do not have a hard copy of the 2000 AMS Subject Classification Codes you can visit

http://www.ams.org/msc/.

As to the table of contents, the decision is entirely yours whether you want the papers to appear alphabetically or arranged according to topics. Please inform the staff of your preference.
