River Walk: This requires very little organization.
There are nicely developed paths along both sides of the Mississippi
River near the university, and there various bridges crossing
the river. One might, for example, get together in the lobby
of the Radisson, walk westward until hitting the walking path
on the east side of the river, turn south, walk down to the
Franklin Avenue bridge, cross over to the west side of the
river, walk north until the Washington Avenue bridge, cross
back again to the east side of the river and then return to
the Radisson. Such an excursion would likely take about two
hours. (Note: There is one small complication. When walking
to the river from the Radisson, you'll run into East River
Road, and this boarders a large park, with dense vegetation
and a steep slope that prevents you from going on to the walking
path. Turn *north* and proceed to the entrance of the park,
then turn west again and go to the walking path, and then
turn south. Once you actually find a walking path from which
the river is visible, everything else should be straightforward.)
