Dear Participants to the IMA 2003 Summer Program: Probability and Partial Differential Equations in Modern Applied Mathematics,

The IMA is looking forward to your participation. Below are important information about your stay in the dormitories. You will be staying at:

MONDAY, July 21

The program begins at 8:45am on Monday, July 21 in Lecture Hall EE/CS 3-180(200 Union Street SE) room 3-180, please view the map below: http://www1.umn.edu/pts/maps/pdf/ebcolr02.pdf

DATE CHANGES: Please let me know ASAP if you have any date changes.

EARLY ARRIVAL: For those of you arriving on June 19th, meal arrangements have been made for you. Your first meal will be dinner on July 19 and then breakfast, lunch and dinner on Sunday, July 20th. [PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR THE WEEKEND MEAL SCHEDULE AND LOCATION] Then 3 meals per day for the remainder of the program, the same as for all the participants.

LATE ARRIVAL: If you will be arriving after 10pm, you will be required to page an attendant to come and open the main door for you. Instructions will be clearly posted by the main entrance.

LAUNDRY FACILITIES: Comstock Hall has laundry facilities that you may utilize during your visit. Upon check in you will receive an access card, this card can be activated for laundry use upon request.

MEALS: [The Food Service Director Mr. Tony Adamo will be there to assist you, if you have any questions or concerns.]

-MONDAY-FRIDAY meals will be served at Comstock Hall:

Breakfast 6:30-9:00am
Lunch:
Option 1: pick up a grab and go lunch during breakfast
Option 2: have lunch at Centennial Hall (614 Delaware Street SE, map below) between 11:30am to 1:30pm
Option 3: Use your card (card will be provided upon check in at dorm) up to $28/week at the food court at Coffman Union

Dinner 4:30-7:00pm

Breakfast 8:00-9:00am
Lunch 11:30-1:00pm
Dinner 4:30-6:30pm

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS:

From I-94, take Exit #253B (Huron Blvd.) to first stop light. Turn left on Fulton Street and go three blocks to Oak Street. Turn right on Oak Street and go three blocks to Washington Avenue. Turn left and go four blocks to Church Street. Turn left on Church, go one block and turn right at the stop sign on Delaware Street. Drive by Coffman Union and Riverbend Commons to Comstock Hall, where limited loading/unloading space is available.
