Luca Capogna is a professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Arkansas, where his research focuses on partial differential equations and geometric analysis. Capogna joined the IMA as associate director in August 2011. Research Web Page

As associate director, Capogna oversees the day-to-day operation of the IMA, with an emphasis on the current year’s thematic program. He works with the workshop organizers to produce the schedules and with visitors to schedule other activities. He is responsible for the IMA newsletters, updates, email announcements, and annual reporting and also handles the many online registrations.
