The following distinguished scientists were elected to join the IMA Board of Governors, effective January 2008:

• Brenda Dietrich, IBM
• Diane Lambert, Google
• Vladimir Sverak, University of Minnesota.

Michael Brenner, Harvard University, has agreed to serve as the new Chair of the Board of Governors for 2008, with his term to begin January 1.

This is the last year for Pam Cook and Kathy Ensor to serve on the Board. We thank both of them for their exceptional service to the IMA.
