New Affiliates and Board MembersThe University of Texas at Austin has joined the IMA as a Participating Institution. J. Tinsley Oden, director of the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences and Cockrell Family Regents' Chair in Engineering (Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics), is the IMA Participating Institutions Council representative for the University of Texas.Johnson & Johnson and Corning, Inc. have joined the IMA as Participating Corporations. Dipak Chowdhury of Corning and Jim Merritt of Johnson & Johnson are serving as IMA contacts and members of the Industrial Advisory Board.
The following distinguished scientists were elected to join the IMA
Board of Governors, effective January 2005: Philippe Tondeur will serve as chair of the Board of Governors in the coming year.
