A number of other printers around the IMA are restricted to staff access only. Many of the printers have duplex units which can print on both sides of the page; for example, the central and central1 queues go to the same printer, but print two-sided and one-sided respectively. The north/a4 printer is loaded with both US Letter paper (8.5 x 11") and A4 paper (210 x 297 mm). We ask that you restrain your use of the color printer to jobs that require color output.

To check the printer queue for a particular printer, type lpq -Pprinter. To remove a job from the printer queue, first use lpq to determine the job number userid@machine+num of your job, then type

lprm -Pprinter userid@machine+num.
