Diane Lambert
Research Scientist and Statistician, Google, Inc.

Diane Lambert is a statistician who has made a career out of learning how to wrestle with, and sometimes tame, data. She started in academia, staying long enough to get tenure in the Statistics Department at Carnegie Mellon University , moved to Bell Labs, where she was eventually a Bell Labs Fellow and chair of the statistics research group, and is now a research scientist at Google, where she focuses on data science and its applications, ranging from monitoring a robotic tape drive system to measuring ad effectiveness.
