|Brenda Dietrich is an IBM fellow and vice president of mathematical sciences at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. She was also the 13th president of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). She holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University. Her research includes manufacturing scheduling, services resource management, transportation logistics, integer programming, and combinatorial duality.
Dietrich began her involvement at the IMA in 1994 when she attended her first workshop on Mathematics in Manufacturing Logistics at the institute.
