Industial Mathematics - Benefits and Difficulties in Connecting to Academe
Industrial mathematics is different from academic mathematics. Through a selection of mathematical problems in imaging we will explore the impact of the IMA industy connection, fostered by Avner Friedman, on progress in the mathematics of imaging science.
