A workshop held in honor of John Ball on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
This meeting brought together leading experts in nonlinear PDE and Continuum Mechanics. The workshop was supported in part by the Max Planck Research Award from the Humboldt foundation, by the School of Mathematics of the University of Minnesota and by the IMA.
