information regarding housing arrangements.

A single air-conditioned room has been reserved for your arrival
July 21 and departure August 2, 2002 in Centennial Hall. Centennial
Hall, open 24 hours per day, is located within a five-minute
walk to the IMA. Please check in at the Centennial Hall Reception
Desk to receive your room key and information about meals will
follow soon. Any changes to your reservation dates must be made
by the IMA. Please email IMA staff at visit@ima.umn.edu
if you need to make changes
The rate per day at Centennial Hall is $50 per day and this
includes your room expense and three meals per day. If the IMA
IS paying your local expenses, the IMA will be billed directly
for your stay. If the IMA IS NOT paying your local expenses,
you will receive an invoice in your registration packet indicating
the amount you owe the IMA. Please bring payment to the IMA
Accounting Office in room 403 Lind Hall. Also, please note that
the IMA cannot accept credit cards. This standard rate per day
for the room and the meals is a set price and cannot be negotiated.
The Centennial Hall Dormitory rooms include: single bed, desk,
chair, lamp, closet (and hangers), telephones (restricted to
local use), linens, pillows, towels, washcloths, a drinking
glass, and soap. If needed, washcloths and towels placed in
a visible area will be exchanged daily. Soap and glasses will
be replaced as needed. If you loose your room key you will be
charged $30 for a duplicate. An individual mailbox for your
room is located in the lobby next to the dormitory reception
desk.
Driving Instructions:
From I-94, take the University of of Minnesota (U of M) exit
(just east of the Mississippi River). The exit turns into Huron
Boulevard. Turn left at first stoplight to Fulton Avenue. Go
two stoplights on Fulton, and turn right on Oak Street. Go two
blocks to the next stoplight (Delaware Street). Turn left on
Delaware, go one block and turn left again into the metered
parking area between Centennial and Territorial Halls, where
limited loading/unloading space is available.

Driving
Directions from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
(MSP) to the Radisson Metrodome Hotel
Leaving the airport, follow signs to Minneapolis. Take 62 West
(also called crosstown) to 35W North. Stay on 35W, keep right
and take the U of MN 3rd Street Exit. Follow the signs that
read East Bank, you will be on Washington Avenue South. Take
a left on Harvard Street. The Radisson will be on your right.
Maps to the IMA will be made available at the front desk of
the hotel.
Directions to the Workshop Registration/Lecture Rooms and
the IMA Main Office
To
find the Registration and Lecture Rooms, follow Washington Avenue
west one block from the Radisson Hotel, cross the Union Street
intersection and proceed up the incline to the right. Located
in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science building
to your right are the registration and lecture rooms 3-176 and
3-180. The 3-180 lecture room is next door to the 3-176 registration
room on the main floor of the building.
The IMA main offices are located in 400 Lind Hall. Lind Hall
is next to the Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science Building,
on the west side of the courtyard.

Late Arrival to Hotel and Check-Out Time/Luggage Storage
If you will be arriving after 6:00 PM, you will need to contact
the hotel directly with your credit card to guarantee your room
for late arrival. Check-out time is 12:00 pm. Please check out
by 12:00 as the IMA cannot pay for an extra night to store your
luggage. We will have space in the lecture hall or the IMA main
offices to store your luggage on your last day.
