In this talk, I will first discuss some basic mathematical notions pertaining to dynamical systems, including multidimensional ones. Subsequently, we will discuss representation questions, in particular the existence of image representations, and their relation to controllability and observability. We will then turn our attention to state space systems, and present an algorithm for obtaining a state space representation of a system given in image representation.
