Sage-Combinat Days 40: Algebraic Combinatorics will be a 5-day workshop to design and implement algorithms and computer exploration tools for research in algebraic combinatorics, with a focus on Cluster Algebras, (Affine) Weyl groups and their Hecke algebras, Symmetric Functions and their generalizations, and Posets. All software developed during the workshop will be made freely available as part of the free and open-source mathematics software system Sage (http://www.sagemath.org). Both newcomers and current Sage users and developers are encouraged to participate.
The workshop will consist of mathematical presentations, presentations on Sage and coding sprints. The mathematical presentations will include talks introducing the relevant mathematics for the entire audience and more advanced talks for interested participants. The Sage presentations will begin with introductory tutorials and progress to more advanced topics, including software development in Sage. There will be ample time allotted for design discussions and coding sprints to implement the developed algorithms.
