Computational Optical Imaging and Spectroscopy
(IMA Tutorial, September 19–23, 2005)
The Air Force Research Laboratory and DARPA have created a large data set obtained by
radar imaging of a backhoe and identified 2D and 3D challenge problems.
IMA visitors can find two versions of backhoe data on the IMA computer system
(not on the web) at /ima/SRC/data/AFRL. The subdirectory Sample contains the Backhoe Sample Public Release &
Visual-D Challenge Problem (3 GB). The subdirectory Full_Dataset contains a copy of the Visual-D Backhoe Full
Dataset (100 GB).
You may use this data here at the IMA. If you wish to export it to
your own computers, please
request
a person copy of the data from AFRL.
Before using this data in any publications or presentations you
must
first obtain permission from Kiran Naidu, email:
or telephone: +1 937 904-9349.
If you make use of this data, please drop a note to Doug Arnold at
so we can be kept informed of the level of
interest in this activity.
Marmousi seismic data
Gary Margrave has prepared an archive containing the Marmousi seismic
data and velocity model (see his IMA talk).
The data and how to access it is described in this email.
