I graduated from University of California, Berkeley with PhD in Statistics in May 2003. My dissertation was on Max-type Recursive Distributional Equations and I worked under the guidance of Professor David J. Aldous. To see a summary of my dissertation click here.
I am currently a postdoctoral member at the Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications where I will stay for one year (September 2, 2003 - August 31, 2004). After that I am going to Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden where I will work with Professors Jeff Steif and Olle Haggstrom as a postdoctoral fellow for another two years (September 2004 - August 2006).
My main research interest is in the field of Mathematical Probability. In particular I am interested in probability on trees and on locally finite graphs; random algorithms; branching random walk; recursive distributional equations and recursive tree processes. I am also interested in the study of Markov Chains and their mixing behaviors.
IMA Postdoc Seminar 2003 - 2004 : This year myself and Gerard Awanou are organizing the IMA Postdoc Seminar.
